Significance

The development of recyclable catalysts is an ongoing challenge in chemical production. The authors have developed new recyclable and ecofriendly catalysts for amide bond formation.

Comment

This inter- and intramolecular amidation reaction using recyclable and water-tolerant catalysts provides the corresponding amides, including cyclic peptides, in good to high yields.
