Significance

Palladium nanoparticles 1 stabilized by tris-imidazolium iodide catalyzed the Heck ­reaction (eq. 1), the copper-free Sonogashira coupling (eq. 2), and the fluoride-free Hiyama coupling (eq. 3).

Comment

Previously, the authors reported the preparation of palladium nanoparticles 1 and their application to the Suzuki–Miyaura coupling (Adv. Synth. Catal. 2012, 354, 651).
