Alkyl Azetidines Via Batch and Flow Photochemistry.
Org. Lett. 2025;
DOI: 10.1021/acs.orglett.5c00922

Significance
The method offers a practical route to access alkyl azetidines via photochemical decarboxylation of azetidine-2-carboxylic acids. The authors demonstrate excellent scalability and compatibility with flow chemistry for efficient gram-scale synthesis.
#
Comment
This scalable photochemical method enables access to diverse alkyl azetidines. The broad scope and subsequent conversion of the products into several heterocyclic derivatives show strong promise for medicinal chemistry applications.
